Citizenship and Intention

We’re always looking for ways to make Whitetruffle a better experience for startups and engineers. To that end, we are adding two more fields to engineers’ profiles: Citizenship and Intention.

Citizenship: We are now asking engineers to let us know if they are authorized to work in the U.S. or need visas. This will help companies better decide if an engineer is a good match for their needs – and engineers will benefit by only hearing from employers who can accommodate their current work authorization status.

Intention: Are you actively looking to work with a new company right now? Or do you just want to see what’s out there? We are working on ways to better serve different types of searches and we’d love to know whether yours is active or passive. If you have feedback on how much or what kind of messaging you’d like, along with your perception of what kind of searcher you are, we’d love to hear it!
