It’s been an interesting couple of months, but I’ve finally decided on a
post-graduation job and hired on with Dropcam.
First, I want to thank all of you just for setting up the site. My job search began (and almost ended) with a university career fair, attended mainly by large regional companies. If it hadn’t been for stumbling on to Whitetruffle, I probably never would have been introduced to the Bay Area startup scene.
I found the site through a well-targeted Facebook ad (one of the first I’ve clicked on), while I was preparing for another phone interview. Since it was free, the site was well-designed, and I figured I had nothing to lose, I made a quick profile. Within hours, I’d received a very interesting invitation from Aamir at Dropcam. The technology Dropcam was working on was very relevant to my interests, so I followed up on this invitation.
Dropcam had exactly the job I was searching for. Thank you all for setting up the site and getting engineering students like myself acquainted with smaller (and more interesting) companies. If it hadn’t been for that fateful Facebook ad, I would have missed out on a great opportunity.
