We are so lucky to have Mehdi interning with our marketing department. During the process of bringing him to San Francisco, we learned about and were able to take advantage of the J1 visa. This lesser-known visa allows interns to stay and work in the United States through the duration of their internship as long as they commit to returning to their home country for a least two years before re-entry. This visa was created to make it easier to bring scholars into the US for continued education and can be much easier to obtain than other visas.
